The Faculty of International Relations was established in 2011 on the basis of the specialties “International Relations” and “Regional Studies” of the Faculty of History. The faculty trains highly qualified specialists in four main areas: international relations, foreign policy and diplomacy, foreign regional studies, and analytical-information activities in international relations.
Studies in the specialties of international relations, diplomacy and foreign policy, and analytical-information activities in international relations are conducted on a contractual basis, while the specialty of foreign regional studies is offered on both budgetary and contractual bases. In addition to professional subjects, our students study foreign languages such as English (as the main language), Arabic, French, German, and Chinese. Students also receive military training through the military department.
The faculty includes five departments:
- Department of International Relations
- Department of Diplomacy and Foreign Policy of the Republic of Tajikistan
- Department of Foreign Regional Studies
- Department of Eastern Studies
- Department of European Studies
In addition, the faculty hosts four scientific centers:
- Analytical Center
- Center for Regional and Comparative Studies
- Center for the Heritage of Manuscripts of the Diaspora
- Center for the Study of the Tajik Peace Experience
Through these centers, students research, analyze, and discuss current, urgent, and problematic issues of regional and global significance as part of academic clubs and planned activities.
